POLET research at Gothenburg Science Festival

5 April 2025

Marta Vetier with two researchers from Chalmers University of Technology at Gothenburg Science Festival 2025

At this year’s Gothenburg Science Festival, Marta Vetier organized an interactive lecture to share emerging insights from our NEW STEPS and MISTRA Electrification projects. To enrich the discussion, she collaborated with two fellow researchers from Chalmers University’s Energy Technology division—Alla Tokarova and Nhu Anh Phan—with whom we collaborate under the MISTRA Electrification project.

Together, the trio delivered an interactive presentation exploring the past, present, and future of Sweden’s electricity system. Their complementary perspectives—ranging from feasibility of transitions and socio-political perspectives to industrial and techno-economic expertise—offered the audience a holistic insight into challenges and opportunities the country is up against.

The talk was very well received, with attendees staying long after the presentation to ask insightful questions and share thoughtful reflections.
